How to prove residency when you live in a relatives home?

Notice that most u.s states require proof of residency to change your out of state drivers license over to your new state.what does someone do who is living with a relative and does not have any utility bills in their name do to prove residency?Can they bring the relative they are living with to the dmv along with the relatives utility bills and have the relative confirm they are residing with them?|||Depending on age, if you are over 18 put yourself on Electoral register. It will then be registered with a credit ageny. You can also go down to a bank with your parents if you are underage and open an account.|||If you are paying rent, bring a copy of the check and a receipt signed by the relative.





If you have received any mail...not junk, but business mail.





If you are enrolled in an educational system, show a copy of your registration form with the new address.





If you have applied for a library card using the new address, show a copy of the application and the card, if it has been issued.





You really need to call BMV and find out what they will accept. There might be information available on their website.|||Easy! Go to your phone company and order a phone, hard wired? Or switch your cell phone address or Your Computor service bill, and your good to go. But no you can%26#039;t bring your relative.Do you realy think that THOSE people at the DMV will actually accept that? I know you don%26#039;t believe It either. Just get yourself a utility. You should have your own phone anyway|||no they won%26#039;t except your relative coming in and vouching for you, i would open a checking account with the new address or have someone mail you something|||I never had to show proof. In California, you have to get your license in something like 10-20 days, and all I ever did was the application for new license and have to take the test.
