How long must a US naturalized citizen reside before he can become a perminant resident in another country?

Is there a waiting period required for new naturalized US citizens prior changing permanent residency to another country for a while?

I think -tell me if I'm wrong- your question refers to a period of time you must reside in the US after becoming a US citizen and before moving to another country. Is that right?

If that's the case, there's no time limit. When you become citizen of the US you have ALL the rights born citizens have, including moving abroad. The only thing you cannot do is become President of the United States.

If you are a US citizen (born or naturalized) you can live wherever you want. What you are not supposed to do is 'become' citizen of another country. You'd have to renounce your US citizenship.

You have to wait at least five years, but it does depend on the Country and it's laws.
Is best to contact that country's consulate or embassy to find out. There is a waiting period, but they all vary by country.
