I am planning on moving to the west coast within the year. I want to go ahead and establish residency there but I am not ready to report to the state I currently live in. How do states report moves and changes of drivers license?

no that is why it is a law, you have to change your adress within 90 days of moving, or you can get a ticket for that but it is not roughly enforced. Just don't get caught

your supposed to do it, if you establish residency, your supposed to go to the dmv and swap the drivers license, alot of utility companys wont allow service with out of state license, and not to mention when you wwrite a check, or file taxes. good luck with the move
