i'm currently on a student visa and have been living in london (specifically camden town ;D) for 10 months. My visa expires in 2010 but i cannot stop attending classes and work full time without HO's permission. How do i go about getting that.
i have been offered a job as an ESOL tutor, and that is my main reason for wanting to change my status.
i'v heard from people that i need to live in the UK for a year to apply for a %26quot;leave to remain%26quot;? (did i just answer my question?)
How long do i have to live in the UK (specifically london) to be eligible to apply for a permanent residency?
i believe it is 6 years.
